Event 4: G20 Summit Simulation

As the largest democracy and the fastest growing economy in the world, India has assumed  the Presidency of the G20 forum. With a clear plan and a development-oriented approach,  India aims to promote the sentiments of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, world peace and just growth for all.  
This event invites a team of two members with a maximum of one entry per school.

The event has the overarching agenda of “Global Health: Sustainable Well-Being“.

Registration fee: ₹2500 per participant

Cash prize: 1. Best Delegate: ₹6000
2. High Commendation: ₹4000
3. Best Resolution: ₹3000
4. Special Mention

We welcome students from Classes IX to XII. The competition’s structure is as follows:

DAY 1: 25th August, 2023

Session 1: Unveil the Prelude (Opening Statement) 

All member countries are required to speak in this round, with reference to the  summit’s main agenda. After being called upon by the moderator, one of the team members has to present a comprehensive overview of their health index in their respective socio-economic landscape . 

● Each speaker has to complete the compulsory speaking time of 2 minutes and will be subjected to 1 Point of Information (POI) from delegates in this Round.  

Session 2: Open House Stimulation 

Sub-Agenda(s): One Health approach, Digital Health, Compliance with International Health Regulations, Universal Health Coverage, Sustainable Financing . 

Voting: Voting will be conducted for the selection of sub-agendas and will be done in preferential order as listed above. Two agendas will be selected

● All member countries are required to speak in this round with reference to the sub-agenda ; and how concerted efforts can be extended to the international scene.
Only one of the participant representing the country will speak for 2 minutes compulsory, again subject to 1 compulsory Point of Information (POI) from the member countries after their speaking time. 

No eliminations will take place in this event.

DAY 2: 26th August, 2023

Session 1: Strategies & Solutions on the Agenda 

● This session will be stressing on ‘Equitable Collaboration of the Global North and South’.
● The 20+9 countries will be deliberating and reflecting upon all the discussions which  have occurred over the Day 1, and will be evolving strategies focused towards solving the issues faced by the world today from the perspective of the candidate’s country. 
One member of each country will be required to present a 2 minute speech highlighting novel and sustainable solutions. They will be subject to subject to 1 compulsory Point of Information from the other member countries. 


Session 2: Presentation of Resolutions 

● Each member country has to draft a 3 point resolution and present it. 
● Both members of the team have to be present onstage for this round. One of the team members will be presenting their country’s resolution with the context of the main agenda for 2 minutes (compulsory).
The second participant onstage will have to answer the 1 compulsory Point of Information from the Judges Panel. 


The 4 prizes, namely, Best Delegate, High Commendation, Special Mention, Best Resolution will be awarded.
